Hotwire rolls out new Fision TV+ Apps

For those of you that have upgraded to the newest Hotwire Fision TV + solution, there is now a free app for your iPhone, iPad, and Android phones that will let you stream your saved shows to your device.   You can watch just about everything on Hotwire if you are on your home Hotwire Wifi.  Some shows/channels are also available to watch when you are away from your home's wifi (it depends on licensing).

Note: To use this app, you will need to sign onto the app with your Fision TV+ Hotwire credentials.

Here is the link to the app on the Apple App store →  Click to download Fision TV+ app on Apple iPhone/iPad

Or you can go to the apple Appstore on your Apple device (or google play store on your android device) and type in “**Fision TV+**”

As a reminder, to use this app, you MUST have the new Hotwire Fision TV + solution installed in your unit at BWE.   For any of you that have not yet taken advantage of the free upgrade to Hotwire's Fision TV + app, you can reach out to Louis Masumbu to schedule the free installation.

The app seems pretty solid (though I have only had a few moments to work with it).

It also seems to give you access to any shows you have recorded by going to  your “My Shows” button on the bottom

Please feel free to try this app out and send any feedback to Stuart Kerr and/or Louis Masumbu.

We hope you enjoy this new free amenity care of your board at Beach Walk East!

So far more than a dozen BWE owners have made the switch to Hotwire. All are reporting MUCH faster internet and less dropouts.   That's encouraging.   Make sure you get on the schedule soonest.

Reminder: We will be sunsetting the building wide Comcast Internet system on May 31, 2022 so you will need to have Hotwire in your condo before then to install their solution or you risk losing all services.

We have started installs.  All owners must contact Louis Masumbo at Hotwire to schedule an installation before May 31, 2022.

Here are some things to know to make this easier for each owner:

1) If you have not already done so, call Louis Masumbo at Hotwire and set up an appointment for your installation. 954 300 5756. louis.masumbo@hotwirecommunications. com. You must have your new internet installed by May 31, 2022 as we will be decommissioning the old Comcast building wide internet after that date.

2) To make the installation easier, write down the eXacT name of your wifi name and password. BOTH are case sensitive. That way, when you set up your new wifi, you can use the exact same wifi name/password combination. If you do so, you will make your lives easier as other devices in your house should find the new wifi and attach to it using the same credentials that they used to use to connect to your wifi password.

3) You will need to download the EERO home wifi system smart app on your iphone or android device. As a reminder, you may need to have your current appleid password and google credentials to download a new app. Make sure you have this.

4) If you want to keep your EERO 6 Pro devices on the wall vs on a desk or sitting on the floor, you can buy inexpensive wall mounts for them on Amazon. Search for: "COOLWUFAN Wall Mount Holder for eero Pro 6 Home WiFi System-Simple and Sturdy Wall Mount Holder Stand Bracket for eero Pro 6 tri-Band mesh Wi-Fi 6 System, Without Messy Wires (White(3 Pack))" It costs about $30. You will only need 2 of them since each unit only has 2 Eero Pro 6 so you may want to partner up and with a neighbor and purchase them that way.

5) You will need your Hotwire account credentials to authorize smart apps such HBOMAX etc. You should have those already from your discussions with Hotwire. If not ask Louis to help you. Reminder, once you return your Comcast gear and close your account, those apps may need new credentials to work. If so, you can use your new Hotwire account credentials to make them work.

We are now starting the process where owners are being called to sign up for their new accounts with Hotwire.  Paul Sweeney from Hotwire is reaching out to owners to do so.   They have also issued a Hotwire BWE Price list.  This attachment (loaded in the files below) shows the cost of additional service that an owner may choose to purchase. For the most part, all TV and Internet elements are mostly covered as we have the vast majority of English language  channels including the premium moving channels included and have a full 1gb up and 1gb down Internet service.  Still some of you may want a home phone line and that is a service that Hotwire offers.   Should you have questions, Paul can be reached at: 954-288-6178 and by email [email protected]

Once your condo has been set up and the Hotwire equipment installed (likely ~ May 2022), you will then be able to access your Hotwire account online.
Hotwire website is: https://gethotwired.com/my-account
User name: is your 8 digit  Hotwire account number given to you by Paul Sweeney
password: is the 4 digit code that you gave Paul Sweeney to set up.
Again this is NOT active until the installation so you will not be able to use it until 48 hours after the service is live in your unit.

Should you have questions or need

Equipment
We now have shots of the new Hotwire equipment that we will be getting for Beach Walk East.
You will get as many of the small white boxes as you have TVs (up to 4 per unit). They are small and should fit behind most TVs where they can be tucked out of sight.   Files with details for all of the above (showing connection options etc)  for all are included below in the files section.

Hotwire is starting to lay fiber optic cable into the building. This will take several months.  Then they will connect the fiber to the Hotwire fiber in the street and finally, they will connect the Hotwire service up to every owner's unit.
